Pay Per Track
The traditional model of buying studio time works for some artists. At Grace Abbey Studios we're taking on a completely different approach. Rather than paying for studio time you'll pay for the tracks you want. Only recording an acoustic guitar and vocals, only pay for those tracks. Want to add some bass and drums, in a few months, buy more tracks when you want to add them.
You only pay for what you create. This doesn't mean you have unlimited studio time. After a decade of recording, we have established an average amount of time it takes to record specific tracks and most artist we believe are able to record in that time frame.
That being said, artist must come prepared to record having rehearsed they're songs, ran through vocal warm-ups, or mapped out their ideas for production.
PAY AS YOU GO!
We encourage the pay as you go model. Rather than paying for every track at once, you can pay for specific tracks as your budget affords.
-
Pay to record your vocals and guitar in April.
-
In June pay to add some bass and drums.
-
Then save up to mix, master and release your song in August.
Pricing

Final Mix
$25 per track package
A "track package" is all the tracks included in the item you purchased. Lead Vocals has five tracks inside the "track package" so you would pay $25 for all 5 tracks, not $125.
Your final mix takes all the parts of your song and puts them together to create one cohesive sound. The more tracks you have the more time it takes to mix them together.
Mixing is exactly that...it's mixing all the ingredients together to make a single sound. It's bringing all the recorded elements together to play together nicely. This is a very specific skill that is very different than the recording process. Levelling EQ, panning sounds, compressing everything together is an art by itself.
Master & Release
$100/song
Mastering your song is the final process of all recorded music and ensures your song is dynamic and consistent in volume.
if you're gonna pay to master your song, you might as well release it to the world. That is why this cost covers both mastering and releasing your song.
Time in studio
This is the estimated time needed with the artist, in studio or over video call. This does not include production or editing time that takes place outside of the recording session.

Vocal tracks take the most amount of time to record and edit because it is the most important part of your song. Compression, EQ, Automation, Pitch Correction, Alignment, Blending is all part of Vocal production. Why 2 extra tracks? Our promise is to deliver high quality recordings and this is one of the ways that is accomplished.

The low end can make or break a song. If you're looking for that radio sound, then skipping out on the bass, may cost you the sound you're looking for in the long run. Bass is not required by no means, but it is highly recommended for any songs that go beyond an "acoustic" sound. We've priced this at a lower cost to help make it affordable for adding it to your song, while the work likely should have this cost closer to $100.

Other than your lead vocals, drums is the most important part of your songs. Drums also take the most amount of time to dial in to get the perfect sound for your song. Drums have many different parts and each part must be mixed individually. For this we use drum samples to create your sound. If you want to hear drum samples in action, listen to "All I Want For Christmas" by Mariah Carey which is 100% drum samples. This is roughly $50/kit piece.
